Malmö Airport is located 30 kilometres from Malmö.

If you choose flying as your means of transport it is easy to get to Lund. Only 25 km away from Lund is Sturup where Malmö Airport is located. Malmö Airport is the fourth biggest airport in the country and about 20 airlines operate from here. About 2 million passengers come to Malmö Airport every day. You get to and from the airport by bus, the so called Flygbussar.

Flygbussarna

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches drive between the airport, and Malmö and Lund with stops at centrally located bus stops on the way. The airport coaches can be found directly outside the terminal. In Malmö and Lund, you depart from the central stations.

Copenhagen airport

Across the Sound is the Danish airport, the international airport of Copenhagen. Copenhagen airport is not only Denmark’s biggest airport but in fact the biggest airport in Scandinavia. From Copenhagen airport you can easily get to Lund by direct train.

By Train

Train traffic to Lund is quite frequent and once you have arrived to the central station you can easily reach many of the sights and hotels in the city. The following companies operate to Lund’s central station – SkånetrafikenSJ, and Veolia.

 

Today, Skånetrafiken’s buses and trains are cash-free and you have to have bought tickets beforehand. You can buy your tickets in the ticket machines at the station or at the Skånetrafiken service centre which is also located at the central station. Tickets to SJ’s trains you can buy at their resellers Pressbyrån or 7-Eleven. The travel agency Big Travel also sells SJ tickets.

At the Tourist Office or at Skånetrafiken’s service centre you can also buy 24 hour or 72 hours tickets that is valid all over Scania on both busses and trains.
